What Topics We Accept

We publish guest posts across all of our core recipe categories. To be considered, your submission must fit naturally within one of the following topic areas:

πŸ¦ƒ
Turkey Recipes

Roasted, smoked, brined, spatchcocked, or leftover turkey ideas. Anything that puts the bird at the center of a Friendsgiving table.

🍽️
Dinner & Main Dishes

Hearty mains, casseroles, roasts, and crowd-pleasing dishes perfect for feeding 8–20 people at a gathering.

🍜
Noodles & Rice

Pasta, ramen, fried rice, soba, and any noodle or grain-based dish that brings something unique to the Friendsgiving spread.

β˜•
Breakfast & Drinks

Morning-of brunch recipes, cocktails, mocktails, seasonal drinks, and anything that keeps guests happy from morning to midnight.

πŸ₯§
Appetizers & Desserts

Starters, snacks, pies, cakes, puddings, and sweets β€” recipes that open and close the Friendsgiving feast perfectly.

We also welcome how-to guides, ingredient spotlights, meal planning tips, and Friendsgiving hosting advice β€” as long as they're relevant to our audience and genuinely useful.

Guest Post Guidelines

To keep the quality high for our readers and ensure your post gets the best chance of being accepted, please review these guidelines carefully before submitting.

Content Requirements

  • Minimum 800 words for recipe posts; 1,000+ words for guides and how-to articles.
  • Content must be 100% original and not published anywhere else online. We run all submissions through plagiarism checks.
  • Recipes must be clearly written with an ingredients list, step-by-step instructions, and at least one helpful tip or make-ahead note.
  • Writing must be conversational, warm, and helpful β€” written for real home cooks, not professional chefs.
  • All claims must be accurate and honest. Do not exaggerate results, claim recipes are "foolproof" unless genuinely tested, or make misleading nutritional statements.
  • The content must be relevant to our niche (Friendsgiving, holiday cooking, recipes). We do not accept off-topic submissions.

Formatting Requirements

  • Use clear headings (H2, H3) to break up the content. No walls of unbroken text.
  • Include a compelling introduction that explains what the reader will learn or make.
  • Use short paragraphs (3–4 sentences max) for readability.
  • Include at least one high-quality image (minimum 1200px wide, well-lit, food-focused). Stock photos are not accepted.
  • Submit content as a Google Doc with editing access enabled, or as a plain .docx file.

Link Policy

  • You may include 1 do-follow link to your own website or blog in the author bio.
  • Links within the post body must be relevant and add value to the reader. Promotional or affiliate links in the body are not accepted.
  • No links to direct competitors, adult content, gambling, or pharmaceutical sites.
  • We reserve the right to add or edit internal links within your article to improve the reader experience.

What We Do NOT Accept

To save us both time, please do not submit the following:

  • Content that has been published elsewhere (including your own blog, Medium, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • AI-generated content submitted as original writing
  • Generic "10 recipes for X" listicles with no original content or insight
  • Posts that are thinly disguised advertisements for products or services
  • Content with multiple promotional links or sponsored anchor text
  • Recipes with no personal testing notes or experience
  • Topics with no connection to Friendsgiving, holiday meals, or the categories listed above
