Korean Fresh Strawberry Milk - Friendsgiving Food Ideas

Korean fresh strawberry milk is not your everyday beverage. It’s an experience wrapped in the flavors of juicy strawberries, creamy milk, and a touch of sweetness.
Growing up, I always enjoyed making fruity drinks, but nothing prepared me for this gem. A crisp morning or a warm afternoon can turn magical with a glass of this frothy delight in hand. Let’s dive into what makes this drink a must-try.

Ingredients

  • - 11.5 lbs fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped
  • -1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • - ¼ cup granulated sugar adjust to taste
  • - ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Milk or coconut milk, as needed for blending

Method

Step 1: Prepare the Strawberries
  1. Start by washing the strawberries thoroughly. Remove the stems and hulls—they can be a real party crasher. Chop them into manageable pieces. Place them in a blender. This step will develop the base of your drink, so we want the strawberries to shine.
Step 2: Blend the Ingredients
  1. Add sugar, vanilla extract, and lemon juice to the blender with the strawberries. Pour in a small amount of milk, just enough to get the blending started. Blend everything until smooth. Depending on your blender, you might need to stop occasionally to shake things up—literally!
Step 3: Adjust the Consistency
  1. If the mixture is too thick, add more milk until it reaches your desired consistency. You want it to be smooth yet pourable. Taste it, of course. You can add more sugar if you prefer it sweeter.
Step 4: Serve It Up
  1. In a glass (or two!), pour the blended strawberry mixture. Slowly add milk over it to create a beautiful layer. You’ll want it to look pretty. If you’ve got extra strawberries, slice a few and garnish on top.
Step 5: Enjoy!
  1. Grab a straw, stir just a bit (if desired), and experience the joy this drink brings. It’s as refreshing as diving into a pool on a hot summer day.

Notes

- Use Fresh Strawberries: Always opt for ripe, juicy strawberries for the best flavor. Frozen strawberries can work if fresh ones are out of season, but the texture may differ.
- Adjust Sweetness: Depending on your palate, use more or less sugar. You might find ripe strawberries sweet enough without extra sugar.
- Dairy Alternatives: If you’re vegan or lactose intolerant, coconut milk works beautifully. Almond or oat milk can also add unique flavors.
- Enhance Flavor: Trying adding a pinch of salt to elevate the sweetness even more. This small step can change the game!
- Experiment: Feel free to mix in other berries like blueberries or raspberries for a mixed berry version.
